Produced In Norfolk Member Represents UK in European Business Awards 2010
Vanessa & Les Scott of Strattons Hotel in Norfolk were in London last week to hear Environment Minister Dan Norris announce eleven UK winners in the European Business Awards for the Environment (EBAE).
There were an exceptionally high number of entries submitted for this year’s awards despite the current economic climate. The Royal Society for the encouragement of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) has put forward the eleven winners to be pitched against winners from across the continent in competition for the prestigious EBAE awards. The awards are presented to companies that demonstrate their commitment to the environment by introducing pioneering and eco-innovative solutions into their business.
Judging for the EU level will take place in Madrid, Spain from 10th – 12th March and the shortlist announced then. The final Awards presentation will take place during green week in June.
Vanessa Scott of Strattons Hotel said; ‘We are delighted to be representing the UK in the European Business Awards for the Environment; and thankful to Sustainable Cities who were responsible for putting us forward through their feeder scheme. It is a tough challenge for our industry to address our environmental impact but one everyone should be looking to improve because it benefits the quality of goods and services you provide as well as making a huge difference to bottom line. It was such a thrill to receive the call from the RSA saying “The news is excellent and you are going through to represent the UK in the European Business Awards, Congratulations! “
