An Introduction to shibori; beginners                                                     

This introduction to the four main shibori resist methods provides a solid foundation for further work within this most fascinating textile discipline. Binding, Stitch, Itajime (fold and clamp) and Bo maki shibori (pole wrap to include Arashi (pole wrap variation). Work with silk and cotton fabrics. Traditional methods will be shown and taught with opportunity for experimentation.

Advanced Stitch Techniques for the experienced
This three day course looks at stitch variation, motif development and management. The various stages of pattern making, from the idea in your head to its transference to fabric and indigo dyeing.
