Norwich Auditions for ITV Britains Best Dish
ITV Productions in London are making the second series of Britain’s Best Dish 2008 - a contest to find Britain’s very own best starter, main course and dessert. They are looking for ordinary people, (i.e. people who aren’t head chefs with years of experience behind them), to cook their signature dishes and enter them into the mix. The overall winner receives the ultimate accolade of ‘Britain’s Best Dish’ and receives a £10,000 cash prize.
Last year a pig farmer from Norfolk won the competition nationwide, receiving £10,000 and the ultimate accolade of Britain’s Best Dish.
The first part of the show involves auditions around the country, in which the amateur chefs face a panel of judges: John Burton Race, Jilly Goolden and Ed Baines and they pitch their dish hoping to get through to the next round which involves cooking in the studio. There is no cooking at the auditions but some people may bring a pre-made dish to show the judges.
Auditions will be held on Saturday 3rd May at Epic TV, 112-114 Magdalen St, NR3 1JD
