Norfolk designer commissioned to make trophy
We have all been accustomed to trophies for national competitions being made in Norfolk by Langham Glass but last month a Norfolk sculpture hit the TV screens as the winners trophy for the Sky TV Wedding Bride of the Year competition ( Channels.277/278)
The trophy, sculpted from raw silk by Kathy Scott in her studio in rural South Norfolk, took over a week to create. Kathy sculptures recreate romance and glamour of the bride and groom and make delightful cake tops plus precious memories of the wedding day.
“I was delighted to be asked to create the trophy” explained Kathy “and its something of an all Norfolk affair with local furniture maker Michael Knight making the wooden base and the plate for engraving being done in Diss”.
Kathy attended the final of the 3 month long competition at a top London Hotel as one of the VIP judges. In addition to the trophy the bride won £10,000 Image courtessy of For your eyes only/Wedding Tv
