No protected foods in Norfolk
Why are the British so reluctant to protect their regional food?
The EU has a scheme which protects the names and origins of regional foods; in the UK this includes Jersey Royal Potatoes and Welsh Lamb, but whilst the UK has 41 protected foods Italy and France both have around 150.
