Norfolk Bees Inside Out
Mike Thurlow engineer, turned bee keeper featured on BBC Inside Out in October. In the short film Uncle Michael, as he is known to his bees, explained the life of a professional bee farmer; often getting up before sunrise and the worrying disease problems that are affecting bees and British agriculture. Mikes honey is mono floral giving unique tastes from where the bees have foraged; whether it be the heather in the Brecks or the lime blossom in rural Norfolk.
You can visit Michael and his live bees each week at the Produced In Norfolk stalls on Norwich Market numbers 40 and 41. Free tastings of honey too. Mike's next appearance at the stall in on Thursday 1st November 9.30-4 pm; a chance to learn more about keeping bees honey and honey products.
