How to get involved

The Food and Ale Fringe, Norfolk’s newest food event for the promotion of local produce is being organised by The Green Grocers  and is supported by Produced in Norfolk. This unique collaboration has joined together to promote producers who live within a fifty-mile radius of Norwich and sell only their own produce

Since The Green Grocers organic and local supermarket opened in 2004 it has been a great favourite with discerning customers in Norwich and Norfolk and has expanded three times to keep up with the supply of great food and other household and beauty products which fit their trading criteria which means that each item is ethically sourced, organic or local. It has been voted as Norfolk’s most conscientious shop by the Eastern Daily Press and by The Guardian         . This February they started The Golden Triangle Framers’ Market, which is rather unusual because they invited their shop suppliers to trade outside their shop. It has been a fantastic success as the shops existing customers have been able to meet the producers of their food and new customers have be introduced to the wonderful local produce. The producers have also enjoyed the experience and noticed a knock on effect of sales of their produce in the shop. The shop continues to receive widespread media coverage and is often quoted by the media in features that concern ethical or organic subjects.
