Each event will involve a talk about local food, demonstrations and – the best bit – sampling of the food and drink. Please note that each event has a limited number of spaces. To ensure your place please contact us here.

Considered to be one of the best by EDP Food awards. Up to 20 stalls will offer the best in Norfolk produce.

A Traditional Norfolk Breakfast

Meet the lovely Glenn of white wellie fame from Cley Smokehouse and Karen from Samphire. Both will be discussing traditional Norfolk breakfasts and cooking up Kippers and sausages.

Norfolk Beers

Teddy Maufe the Barley Guru, grower and supplier of Branthill Farm near Wells next the sea who also owns the wonderful Real Ale Shop will be talking about Barley its place in Norfolk’s history and the beer that is brewed by local producers using his barley. This talk will include guided tastings by the breweries.

A Norfolk Lunch

Vanessa together with husband Les is Chef Proprietor of the multi award winning Strattons, eco friendly boutique hotel, situated in the lovely Georgian town of Swaffham Norfolk. Vanessa was thrilled to be asked to be involved with this event as she believes it firmly echoes what she and Les set out to create at Strattons which has made them national media darlings. They have appeared in the Evening Standard, Harpers and Queen, the Daily Mail and The Daily Telegraph amongst others. They recently appeared on Anglia TV’s Country Matters programme.

A Norfolk Afternoon Tea

Guest Suffolk producer German artisan Baker Michael Goetz is a bread fanatic and a baker extraordinaire. He does amazing things in his bakery including a small but fantastic range for those of you who are gluten or wheat intolerant. We are sure you will share his enthusiasm for his loaves once you have heard him talk and tasted his wares.

He will be joined by Essence Jams based near Dereham and who make beautiful Jams, marmalades, sauces and relishes in modern, vibrant, colourful packaging. Choose from the summery Rose and Strawberry,

Why Local and English wines are winning awards.

There are more and more English wines that are beginning to wins awards beating French, Italian and new world wines. Sceptical? Derek Robertson from Premium Wines has searched for the very best in English and local wines. He has even confounded his own scepticism and challenges you to try a blind tasting to see which English wines beat their French and Italian counterparts.

A Traditonal Norfolk Roast

Chefs from Tatlers restaurant will be demonstration and serving up a traditional Norfolk roast. Tatlers has gained an excellent reputation as a lively and friendly local restaurant which purchases ingredients from local sources as much as possible.
