When I design furniture I aspire to produce a timeless piece that is tactile with clean lines and smooth surfaces, sometimes using flowing lines and inlay. Native and European hardwoods are my preferred timber and working with decorative veneer. I have an interest in using local timber and a preference for natural oil finishes.

He often employs the use of exotic and decorative veneers such as amboyna, burr oak and ebony.
