Rags AND Riches - From rag rugs to jewellery. I use re-cycled fabrics to create textiles and incorporate unusual beads, mixed media and precious metals in my jewellery. All this plus unique accessories are produced from the home at North Creake that I share with my husband and one-eyed greyhound. Work may be viewed at Big Blue Sky at Wells and at home by appointment. I also participate in Open Studios.

Stylish heirloom quality jewellery, accessories and home furnishings hand crafted from beads and fibres using traditional textile skills: bead-weaving, embroidery, weaving, knitting, tatting, hand dyeing and fabric painting. Blueshed Beads is a small glass-working studio I have set up making lampworked beads from molten soda-lime glass using traditional decorative techniques. I then select beads for a range of textile based jewellery. Commissions welcome.
Individually made Freshwater Pearl and Gemstone necklaces, bracelets and earrings with Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold. Each piece is created with care, using traditional methods of knotting and stringing. Wire and chain work is used for some designs to give a more contemporary feel. Most pieces are one-off designs. Much of the work shows imaginative combinations of gemstones and pearls with lots of interesting silver and gold beads and some gorgeous clasps.
