Houghton Hall is situated just off the A148 King's Lynn to Cromer road, close to the Norfolk coast, Norwich and the Norfolk Broads. In June 2002 in conjunction with entering into various Countryside Stewardship schemes and the desire to farm less intensively, 450 acres of land within the Estate was converted to organic status. This area has subsequently been increased to almost 1000 acres with further expansion planned in the near future. The principle aims of the Organic unit at Houghton is to produce high quality lamb, beef and pork / bacon whilst working within natural systems and cycles, maintaining the long term fertility of the soil, fostering biodiversity and protecting sensitive habitats and landscape features.We also have a deer park

We at the Mid Norfolk Smokehouse produce the finest OAK smoked salmon from ORKNEY salmon. Also smoked duck breasts, smoked prawns, Norfolk smokies, smoked chicken and smoked kippers. We also sell a range of Norfolk shellfish, from Thornham oysters to Kings Lynn brown shrimps. Refrigerated delivery also. OUR SHOP is open Mon to Fri 9am-6pm, Sat 9am-4pm and we attend Aylsham Farmers Market on the first Saturday in the month and also Harlston Farmers Market on the 3rd Saturday in the month.
Our own pork, bacon and gammons born and bred on the farm , young and tender the way it should be. Also our own Aberdeen Angus Beef grass fed, hung for 3-4 weeks the traditional way for tenderness and flavour. All free from growth hormones and antibiotics.
Our free range turkeys and geese are grown to full maturity before being processed on the farm and dry plucked by hand in the old traditional way. Then to add quality and flavour, the birds are graded and hung in chillers for at least 7 days, to make them exceptionally tender and succulent, unlike much of today's factory processed foods. Snettisham Park is a 'Farm Park' where adults and children can safely visit a real working farm. Our unique 45 minute Deer Safari around the farm and into the Deer Park allows our visitors close proximity to our Red Deer Herd. Home produced Farm Assured Venison and Lamb are available in our Visitor Centre as well as eggs.
DARROW GREEN FARM PRODUCE present a selection of chickens, turkeys and beef, all extensively reared with Free-Range access. The poultry are dry plucked and processed on the farm. All are fed without the addition of growth promoters or anti-biotics on predominantly home produced cereals and forage. Cattle are yarded in winter months.

The Peart family have farmed at Martins Farm Hindolveston for four generations. We sell free range chickens, ducks, eggs and rare breed pork. All our livestock is fed on our home grown cereals. Also available is a selection of fruit and veg. Open all year.
