Houghton Hall is situated just off the A148 King's Lynn to Cromer road, close to the Norfolk coast, Norwich and the Norfolk Broads. In June 2002 in conjunction with entering into various Countryside Stewardship schemes and the desire to farm less intensively, 450 acres of land within the Estate was converted to organic status. This area has subsequently been increased to almost 1000 acres with further expansion planned in the near future. The principle aims of the Organic unit at Houghton is to produce high quality lamb, beef and pork / bacon whilst working within natural systems and cycles, maintaining the long term fertility of the soil, fostering biodiversity and protecting sensitive habitats and landscape features. We also have a deer park
