J Duckett Imagespicture

John lives just a few minutes away from the stunning North Norfolk coast. The dramatic light in this area has had a big effect on the mood he captures in his images. "I love capturing atmosphere in my images and spend hours waiting for the right light conditions and clouds. Bright sunshine and blue skies are not for me, I much prefer to produce a dramatic moody image." John served a long apprenticeship using 35mm SLR film cameras before moving to digital. The experience gained means he is a great believer in getting it right in the camera rather then relying on the computer afterwards. This goes for the dramatic skies which are captured by using optical filters on the camera and of course by working with the light. “I try and keep computer manipulation to an absolute minimum and wherever possible no more then could be achieved in the past with careful film choice and traditional darkroom methods.” In recent years John has turned semi professional selling fine art prints at various exhibitions and shows throughout Norfolk. He also has work permanently for sale at local galleries and via his website www.jduckettimages.co.uk. John’s work is now hung in private homes throughout the UK as well as being sold to clients in France, Spain, Canada and the U.S.A.
